Delta Rotary Foundation
Scholarship

For Sheldon and Marist High School graduates who want to continue their education at an Oregon institution.

The Delta Rotary Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization formed to provide scholarships to graduates from area high schools to assist them in attending post high school training and education at institutions within the State of Oregon. Foundation scholarships are granted to two to five students each year. To date, close to $100,000 has been awarded in scholarships to local students.

Where our scholarships can make a difference.

The Foundation encourages applications from students who may not qualify for other scholarships and funding, but will benefit from financial assistance in pursuing post high school training or education. Scholarships are awarded to motivated students whose decision to continue their learning may be affected by financial concerns. The Foundation’s scholarships are one-time payments of $500 - $3,500 each to help the student with tuition and other costs during that important first year.

Application Procedure –

School counselors at Sheldon and Marist High Schools are provided with scholarship application forms by early March. The application deadline is the second Wednesday in April. During May, selected applicants are interviewed and winners are notified. In early June the scholarships are awarded, and in August payment is made on the winner’s behalf to the institution he or she has chosen to attend.

Who is Delta Rotary Foundation?

The Delta Rotary Foundation is funded from donations raised by the Eugene-Delta Rotary Club. Its Board of Directors is made up of business and professional people from the Eugene-Springfield area who donate their time. Because all time is donated, total administrative expenses since the Foundation’s inception in 1980 have remained at less that one half a percent of donations received. The Foundation’s goal is to accumulate a permanent endowment sufficient to fund scholarships from interest income alone.

Donations are Tax-Deductible

Since Delta Rotary Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organization with the sole purpose of providing scholarships to motivated first-year students, all donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. Donations and inquires may be directed to:
